A non-profit dedicated to advancing financial literacy

Our Mission

Our mission is to advance financial literacy by teaching money management skills and fostering the confidence to make financial judgments and decisions.

The Problem

The lack of financial awareness and financial problems perpetuates the cycle of poverty and is the root cause of most social problems such as divorce, suicide, bankruptcies, and health complications.

Studies suggest that 43% of American adults are considered financially illiterate.

Forty percent of Americans can’t afford a $400 emergency expense.

Nearly two-thirds of Americans can’t pass a basic test of financial literacy.

Our Approach

Engaging Workshops

We partner with local schools, community centers, and libraries to bring interactive and informative workshops that teach financial literacy basics.

Every other month we host online events that involve fun challenges, guest speakers, and mini-competitions about financial literacy and the importance of money management.

Through our social media we hope to spread awareness about the important of money management while also providing small yet understandable personal finance tips.

Our Story

Established in 2020, we are a group of passionate high schoolers in the Bay Area that realized the damaging effects of financial illiteracy, especially in time of distress such as the ongoing pandemic. United and motivated behind a common cause, we set out to spread knowledge and awareness about money management through Finatic.
